The Song of the Week comes from Miranda Lambert. She performed The House That Built Me when she was touring with Brad Paisley on the American Saturday Night Tour. I really liked the song and now I’m going to share it with all of you. Enjoy!

I’ll be the first to admit that I am not a Miley Cyrus fan. However, I feel like Miley really stepped it up with this new song, When I Look At You. She actually does a wonderful job. It is a change of pace from her Party In the U.S.A. style. The song is featured in the new motion picture, The Last Song. I saw the movie last night (Look for a review soon). So I wanted to share this as the Song of the Week.  You can listen to it here:

The Song of the Week is Hello World by Lady Antebellum. I’m a big fan of the entire album, Need You Now, so it is hard to pick just one song. However, I’ve managed to do so. Enjoy!

I am slowly becoming a Kara DioGuardi fan. She definitely has talent. I was not completely convinced when she joined American Idol but now I can see why she deserves to be part of the judging panel! She is a great singer and a fantastic writer.

I just got back from another show on campus at USCB. Tonight we were all introduced to Steve Means. His music has been featured on MTV’s The Real World and Newport Harbor.

I’m listening to his album, Now Or Never, as I write this article. Let me tell you, this guy is awesome. Make sure you check out his music. You can find his albums on iTunes HERE.

Steve did a few cover songs tonight but it was really cool to hear his original music. While his style is very unique, you can hear a little John Mayer influence from time to time. On his song, Do Something, you will even get a little of a Jason Mraz feel. Do Something was one of my favorites so it will be featured as the Song of the Week. Make sure you listen to You and Me and X-ray Eyes too! The show was great and I will definitely be keeping up with his music and future concerts.
